Titles, symbols, shapes and patterns of Ottoman gravestones were designed so cleverly and thoughtfully that they give information about gender and occupation of the deceased. These gravestones are full of meaning with flower designs and geometrical patterns which have been deformed in time and disappear soon. Birth and death dates of the deceased are written under the images. These gravestones become series of portrait that are painted thoughtfully when they are about to disappear rather than images of a random pattern which is painted with watercolour.
